HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 c1204W
Sir J. D. REES

asked the Postmaster-General whether the postmaster at Cannon Street Station, South Eastern Railway, reported to him that a telegram addressed on 5th June to Dards, "Lady Jocelyn," Greenhithe, had not been delivered owing to inability to obtain official boatmen through intimidation; and, if so, what steps he has taken to establish communication with that vessel?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

So soon as there proved to be difficulty in delivering telegrams for the "Lady Jocelyn," a special visit was made by the local postmaster, who arranged for prompt delivery to officers of that vessel.
