HC Deb 12 June 1912 vol 39 c998W
Mr. ALDEN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that, in connection with appointments under the National Insurance Act, applications for transfer had been invited from assistant clerks in the Customs and Excise Statistical Office, and that numerous applications were submitted, and that no such transfers have been effected, although appointments to the Insurance Office (England) continue to be made; and whether he can assign any reason why these invited applications for transfer have received no recognition?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Transfers of assistant clerks from the various public offices for service in the office? of the National Health Insurance Commission (England) are being arranged as occasion requires. Negotiations are now proceeding for the transfer of certain assistant clerks from the office of the Customs and Excise.
