HC Deb 11 June 1912 vol 39 c828W
Mr. NEVILLE

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he has any immediate intention of bringing in a Bill to amend the Teachers' Superannuation Act, 1898; and, if so, whether he will therein insert retrospective provisions for including as eligible for the amended scale of pensions all teachers who will become superannuated by reason of their having attained the age of sixty-five on or after 5th April, 1912, with forty years' service?

Mr. J. A. PEASE

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The date from which the improved benefits shall accrue is one of the points which I have under consideration, and I will bear in mind the hon. Member's suggestion.
