§ Sir T. ESMONDEasked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) what are the intentions of the Department with regard to the construction of a pier at Blackwater, county Wexford?
§ Mr. T. W. RUSSELLThe long sandy shore at Blackwater offers no facilities for harbour construction. A winch has recently been placed there to aid fishermen in hauling up their boats. It is possible that a landing stage to facilitate the discharging of fishing boats might be a further advantage. If the county council wish to take the matter up, the Department of Agriculture are prepared to co-operate.
