HC Deb 21 February 1912 vol 34 c700W
Lord CHARLES BERESFORD

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that there is a sense of unfair treatment amongst the signal ratings of the Navy; and whether, looking to their rates of pay, as compared with the responsibility which falls upon them in ships at sea, he can see his way to grant them an increase in their pay?

Dr. MACNAMARA

Inquiry is being made into the conditions of service and pay of the signal branch with a view to considering whether any change is required.
