HC Deb 11 December 1912 vol 45 c486W
Mr. WILLIAM THORNE

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether his attention has been called to an alleged breach of the terms of Section 68 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1872, by an assistant master in the Inverurie Academy higher grade public school in having on a number of occasions given religious instruction at other times than those sanctioned by the time-table; whether he is aware that such a practice prevents the due operation of the Conscience Clause; and whether he will make a full inquiry into the matter?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

I am in communication with the school board on the subject.
