§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELThe hon. Member presumably refers to an application made for information regarding officers in receipt of the maximum wage at Shrewsbury. The particulars requested related to length of service and the period for which they have been at their maximum, and could not be obtained without a scrutiny of past records, and in these circumstances I do not consider that it could be described as readily available.
