Major WHITEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in View of the expression of feeling by members of friendly societies, more especially in rural districts, for approved societies to be allowed to provide death benefits out of their surpluses, he will reconsider the point on the Report stage of the National Insurance Bill and will recommend that, should a division be taken, hon. Members should be free to vote on non-party lines?
