HC Deb 13 November 1911 vol 31 c161W
Mr. LUNDON

asked on what particular grounds the name of Michael O'Rourke, Bohernagore, Kilmallock, county Limerick, was taken from the list of evicted tenants; and, having regard to the fact that this man was evicted by Colonel Lowe, of Sun-ville, Ardpatrick, will the Estates Commissioners again inquire into his case and have his name placed once again in the list?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners inform me that O'Rourke's application was not received within the period limited by the Evicted Tenants Act, 1907, and his name was never on the list of applicants noted by the Commissioners for consideration in the allotment of untenanted land. When dealing with Colonel Lowe's estate, which was the subject of proceedings for sale under the Land Purchase Acts, the Commissioners inquired into O'Rourke's application, and decided to take no action in the matter, and they see no reason to consider that decision.
