§ Mr. HALDANEAs regards the first part of the question pending the absorption of the supernumerary Regular officers, no general instructions are considered necessary; but when they have been absorbed, any application for the services of Special Reserve officers during the non-training period will be dealt with under paragraph 89 (a) Special Reserve Regulations, as amended by Army Order 172 of 1910. As regards the second part of the question, the subject of giving an expert instructor of musketry for all Reserve battalions is under consideration.
