§ Sir JOHN JARDINEasked as regards the new Orders regulating admission of cadets to the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich, whether the system of nomination by head masters of schools in lieu of competition is to be made applicable; and, if so, whether any standard of proficiency in mathematics or in languages will be set up as a test before admission to the Academy, and by what means uniformity of standard for different schools in these subjects will be attained?
