§ Mr. MARTINasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider a scheme for the issue of a long-service medal to soldiers part of whose service has been in the Regular Army and part in the territorials?
§ Mr. HALDANEI presume my hon. Friend is alluding to the cases of ex-soldiers of the Regular forces who join the Territorial force and is proposing that they should reckon service in the Regular forces towards the grant of the efficiency medal. At present this is forbidden by the regulations, but I will consider whether I can recommend that any concession in this direction can be made.
