asked when it is proposed to commence the construction works necessary for the extension of the telephone from Monaghan to Clones?

The general question of the extension of the telephone system in Ireland is under the consideration of the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, and I must await their decision before undertaking the proposed extension to Clones.
