HC Deb 16 February 1911 vol 21 cc1407-8W
Mr. GUINEY

asked the Chief Secretary whether an application for reinstatement was received by the Estates Commissioners from an evicted tenant named John Riordan, of Gurranes, Glounthane, Mallow, on the estate of Mrs. Grant, which application was investigated by J. P. Hanlon, inspector, and considered bonâ fide by the Commissioners; whether he is aware that the applicant died last year leaving a wife and seven children; and, seeing that his name has recently been removed from the list of tenants to be reinstated, will he say what is the cause and why was not his wife's name substituted?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners inform me that they received the application referred to, and Riordan's name was provisionally noted for consideration. On further consideration and inquiry the Commissioners decided to take no further action in the matter.
