HC Deb 16 February 1911 vol 21 c1428W
Mr. DEVLIN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the loss and inconvenience caused to the people of Portstewart, county Antrim, by reason of the failure of the Midland Railway Company to run the steam tram from Portstewart station to Portstewart on the last Sunday in September, which is the busiest day of the whole season with the people of the town; whether the tram is run on every day in the year except on this Sunday; and whether he will make inquiries into this matter with a view to meeting the wishes of the people of Portstewart in regard to it?

Mr. BUXTON

I have received no complaints of the failure to run the tramcars on this line on the date named, but I am sending a copy of the hon. Member's question to the company for any observations they may have to offer.
