§ Mr. RAMSAY MACDONALDasked the Secretary of State for War whether he could make any statement as to the progress of the inquiry into the wages and conditions of service of the War Office employees which has been proceeding for some months; and whether he can state when the report may be expected?
§ Mr. HALDANEI will reply at the same time to question No. 114. The Fair Wages Advisory Committee have reported upon the matters referred to them in connection with the minimum rate of labourers' wages at the establishment mentioned. An increase to the minimum and some other rates of wages will be made as from 1st April next, but the details have not been fully settled. I hope to be able to give full information upon Army Estimates within the next few weeks.
