§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELThe number of women sorters in the Savings B[...] 2825W department is 360, and the total amount of wages paid to them during the year ending 31st March, 1910, was approximately £21,000. The number of principal clerks supervising in the sorting branch is seven, and their salaries for the year in question were approximately £1,300. The wages of the eleven senior women sorters are 33s. a week; five of them have had twenty-six years' service, two twenty-seven years, and four twenty-eight years.
