asked the Postmaster-General what is the number of women sorters employed in the minor establishment (women) on the Savings Bank department, and the total amount of wages paid for the year ending 31st March, 1910; the number of principal clerks supervising in the sorting branch, and the total amount of wages paid for the year ending 31st March, 1910; and the length of service of the eleven senior women sorters and their wages?

The number of women sorters in the Savings B[...] department is 360, and the total amount of wages paid to them during the year ending 31st March, 1910, was approximately £21,000. The number of principal clerks supervising in the sorting branch is seven, and their salaries for the year in question were approximately £1,300. The wages of the eleven senior women sorters are 33s. a week; five of them have had twenty-six years' service, two twenty-seven years, and four twenty-eight years.
