§ Mr. BURNSThe total expenditure on relief of the poor and purposes connected therewith, including expenditure out of loans, in London during the year ended 31st March, 1911, amounted approximately to £3,917,000. The latest available figures showing the annual cost per head of each in-door and out-door pauper in London are those for the year ended March, 1910. These are as follows:—
