§ Mr. WATTalso asked the Lord Advocate whether there is now any burghal local authority in Scotland which has not yet appointed one or more veterinary surgeons for the purpose of The Public Health (Scotland) Act, 1897, and the Dairies, Cowsheds, and Milkshops Orders; and, if not, will he say when a veterinary surgeon will be appointed to the staff of 1892W the Local Government Board so that an uniform system and standard of meat inspection may exist throughout Scotland?
§ Mr. UREThere is not any burghal local authority in Scotland which has not yet appointed one or more veterinary surgeons for the purpose of the Act and orders referred to by my hon. Friend. It is not proposed meantime to appoint a veterinary surgeon to the staff of the Local Government Board for Scotland.
