Viscount WOLMER

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether the compositors and other workers engaged in printing [Cd. 5609] and [Cd. 5433], respectively, were paid the trade union rate of wages; whether any overtime was worked, and at what rate in each case was it paid; what charge, if any, was made for the type standing between the time of the finally corrected copies being returned to the printer and their publication; and what were the dates, respectively, on which the final corrected proofs were ready for the printer and the dates of the earliest delivery of each to the Vote Office?

Mr. HOBHOUSE
