HC Deb 04 April 1911 vol 23 c2169W
Mr. DEVLIN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can state the number of persons registered on the books of the Labour Exchanges in Belfast, the number who have obtained employment, and the number at present on the books for whom no employment has as yet been found?

Mr. BUXTON

The latest return available shows that there were 709 applicants for employment remaining on the lives register of the Belfast Labour Exchange on 24th March. Up till that date 329 vacancies had been filled by the Exchange during the month, as opposed to 188 in February and 153 in January.
