Sir HERBERT ROBERTSasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether his attention had been called to the regulation recently issued by the Government of Burma instructing magistrates to bring to the notice of superintendents of excise every case in which intoxicating liquor had been the cause of or contributory to crime; and whether similar orders have been or will be issued by the other local governments in India?
