It has not been found possible to distribute these values under the four heads used in the table in Paragraph 5 of the Government of India's despatch on preferential tariffs, of 22nd October, 1903, as it is not known what articles were included under these respective heads. If the Noble Lord will move for a Return, the Secretary of State will cause it to be prepared in India. But in view of the labour which the compilation of the figures for five years will involve, perhaps the Noble Lord may be disposed to consider whether figures for one year or for two years would answer the purpose.
