HC Deb 25 February 1910 vol 14 cc554-5W
Sir WILLIAM BULL

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received information that, in consequence of the numerous complaints against the existing water supply of the town of Cairo, it is proposed to instal a new system whereby the water will be drawn direct from the River Nile, and not from the tubular system hitherto in force; and whether, for reasons of economy, it is now proposed to instal this new system at Rod el Farag, down-stream of the town of Cairo?

Sir EDWARD GREY

I have no recent information on the subject, but will make inquiry.
