§ Mr. HALDANEThe expenditure out of Army Funds on the Territorial Force in 1908–9 was about £2,800,000. County Associations showed in their accounts for that year receipts from private sources amounting to about £1,400.

Mr. SYKESasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in the scheme now under consideration for improving the position of adjutants of the Territorial Force by increasing their pay or allowances, or both, and by other means, it is his intention to make it applicable to adjutants already serving or only to new appointments?
