HC Deb 28 April 1910 vol 17 c765W
Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether Mr. Bullock, one of the chief constables of the Metropolitan Police, has inspected the kennels of the Paris Police dogs at Montrouge, his visit, it is understood, being in connection with a proposal to form a pack of police dogs for use in suburban London; if so, whether he intends to sanction the use of dogs by the police in London; and whether the Government will be pecuniarily liable in the event of damage or injury caused to persons by dogs whilst they are in the control of the police authorities?

Mr. CHURCHILL

There is no intention at present to form a pack of police dogs in London.
