§ Mr. LLOYD-GEORGEI am unable to state, even approximately, the quantities of motor spirit imported prior to the imposition of the duty which were in the United Kingdom or in the London area on 1st June, 1909, and on 1st April, 1910. The net amount of duty received on motor spirit from 1st June, 1909, to 31st March, 1910, was £305,000, and of this amount £191,039 was collected in the London area.
