§ Mr. OWEN PHILIPPSasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, when preparing the programme of work for the next financial year, in addition to allotting new ships to be built at the Welsh dockyard, he will, in view of the congestion that exists at the larger Royal dockyards in the matter of repairs, make better provision for repair work at Pembroke?
§ Mr. McKENNAThe dockyard programmes for 1910 –11 are not yet definitely settled, and it is therefore not possible to say what arrangements will be made for work at Pembroke in that year. The capacity of the yard for undertaking repair work will, however, be duly taken into consideration with that of other yards in settling the repair programme for the ensuing year.
