HC Deb 19 May 1909 vol 5 c540W
Sir WILLIAM COLLINS

asked the Home Secretary whether the draft Bill which was last year the subject of negotiation between the law officers of Guernsey and Jersey, having for its object the assimilation of the law in regard to merchant shipping in the Channel Islands to that obtaining in this country, has been passed into law?

Mr. GLADSTONE

The matter is still under consideration by the Board of Trade, a draft Bill having been submitted to them by the Jersey authorities for examination before submission to the States.
