§ Mr. HALDANEThe whole of the Yeomanry regiments are at present armed with sword-bayonets in addition to long rifles, and will retain sword-bayonets for the present. The Yeomanry are to be re-armed shortly with a short rifle similar to that in use with the Regular cavalry. It is not the intention to issue sword-bayonets to the Yeomanry when the short rifle is issued to them.
