§ Mr. GLADSTONEI am not aware of any authoritative statistics on this point. As regards on-licences, estimates are commonly given to the effect that upwards of 90 per cent. of the licences throughout the country are "tied," and I am not aware of any reason why the proportion in London should differ materially from the general proportion.
