§ Mr. REESasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that the assessment on the deer forests 305W of the Highlands produces a large proportion of the revenue of the counties concerned and gives a very considerable amount of employment, in addition to the expenditure of large sums of money, he will consider whether other and more suitable sources of revenue can be found, without the imposition of special taxes per acre on land devoted to this purpose?
