§ Mr. JOHN WARD:To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been called to a fatal accident to a man employed upon the Derwent Valley waterworks on the 24th February; and whether the officers of his Department have made any report upon the subject; and, if so, what is the nature of the same?
§ Mr. GLADSTONE:This accident has not been reported to my Department, but I have ascertained that it was reported under the Notice of Accidents Act, 1894, to the Board of Trade, and that it was due to the fall of a crane, which occurred while large water pipes were being unloaded by means of it.
