§ Mr. SLOANasked the Postmaster-General if, when an officer has reason to believe that a case against him has been unfairly presented by his superior, he may be allowed to see the endorsement containing the presentation of the case?
§ Mr. SYDNEY BUXTONUnder the present practice, the charge against an officer is put to him in writing, and he has full opportunity of defending himself. He has not, however, the right to claim to see the report of his superior officer. I see no reason for any alteration of the present practice, which is in accordance with the recommendations of the Select Committee on Post Office servants.
