§ Mr. HORNIMANasked the President of the Board of Trade what action, if any, has been taken respecting the question of the encroachments on the foreshore at Sea View, Isle of Wight, by the erection of groynes and piles, which was brought to his notice by a question on 16th December last?
Mr. TENNANTAs regards the piles referred to by my hon. Friend, the question was settled to the apparent satisfaction of all concerned after a local conference held early in 1906 by an officer of the Board744W of Trade. As regards the groynes, the Board are endeavouring to get "crossovers" constructed at the inner ends of the groynes in order to provide easy means of passage for the public along the shore.
