§ Mr. BURNSI am informed that the Joint Board are about to institute examinations for sanitary inspectors specially to qualify them to discharge the duties of meat inspectors. I understand that these examinations are of the nature of examinations for honours, and that the Joint Board consider that the institution of them falls within the powers conferred by the Memorandum of Association under which they are constituted.
