§ Mr. SLOANasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he would instruct the Inland Revenue officers in Belfast to see that the persons licensed to sell intoxicating drinks in that city conform to section 11 of the 35th and 36th Vic, c. 94, by having the name of the licensee, and the character of the licence, placed over the entrance to all licensed premises?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSEI have no reason to suppose that licensed persons in Belfast do not conform to the requirements of the Licensing Act, 1872, to which the hon. Member refers; but if he can refer me to any particular case which he has in mind I will have inquiry made.
