§ Colonel SEELYTwo natives suffering from sleeping sickness were admitted to the Blantyre Mission Hospital on 8th June and 14th August respectively. The first patient died in July, and the second, who came from Portuguese territory, died in September. The natives of Nyasaland are being systematically examined for sleeping sickness Up to 30th September four cases had been discovered, but there is no reason to suppose that infected persons are numerous in the Protectorate.
