§ Mr. LLOYD-GEORGEI would refer the hon. Member to the Parliamentary Return Cd. 4,657 of 1909. The aggregate gross liabilities of the State were, on 31st March, 1906, £788,990,187, and on 31st March, 1909, £754,121,309. The Exchequer balance on the former date was £10,451,487, and on the latter £6,350,427.
