§ Mr. CARR-GOMMasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the Government contract with Messrs. Francis and Sons, Trundleys-road, Dept-ford, for the supply of drums was suspended for a fortnight on account of the rate of wages paid by that firm; and, seeing that no changes in the wages have been made since the work for the War Office has been resumed, will he take action in this matter?
§ Mr. HALDANEThere is some difficulty in ascertaining the current rate for the various operations in the manufacture of these articles, and the investigation of the case is not complete. I am not aware of any suspension of the work on account of the wages paid.
