§ Paul GogginsThe eight court escort contracts and the national contract for the movement of prisoners between prisons were introduced on a phased basis between April 1993 and April 1999; therefore complete national records are available only from April 1999.
These records show that Prison Service and contractors' vehicles covered the following approximate distances:
