Further to the Written Answer by the Lord Filkin on 15 June (WA 63) whether the criteria for the appointment of the senior judiciary in Northern Ireland are the same as those in the rest of the United Kingdom; for how long the criteria have been applied in the different jurisdictions. [HL3436]

The criteria for appointment to the senior judiciary in Northern Ireland are the same as those used in England and Wales and have applied in both jurisdictions for a number of years.
