asked Her Majesty's Government:
What percentage of the Northern Ireland Executive for Education budget in the last financial year was spent on administration of the area boards; and what was spent on the provision of education. [HL678]

§ The Lord President of the Council (Baroness Amos)
In the 2002–03 financial year 2.2 per cent of funds allocated for education was spent on Education and Library Board administration; 95.9 per cent was spent on the provision of education, and the remaining 1.9 per cent on other administration.
