Since I became Secretary of State on 24 October 2002, I have visited Scotland once on 14 February 2003. While I was there I conducted a range of visits including a meeting with Cathy Jamieson MSP, Minister for Education and Young People, a tour of the Student Loan Company's offices and a meeting with Colin Ward, Chief Executive of the Student Loan Company.
