asked Her Majesty's Government:

Further to the Written Answer by the Lord Bach on 6 May (WA 134), whether the arrangements they have agreed with the coalition partners will ensure that Iraqi prisoners within the custody and control of those partners will have the protection of the Geneva convention and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.[HL2801]

Lord Bach:

The United Kingdom is confident that our partners will abide by their obligations under international law in their treatment of prisoners.
