To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions what steps he has taken to persuade the Strategic Rail Authority to provide for a three hour journey time from London to Plymouth in its 10-year plan. [37294]

The Strategic Rail Authority is currently considering how journey times from London to the south-west could be improved.
