§ Lord Sainsbury of TurvilleThe number of export licence applications issued and refused, including those for sniper rifles to Russia, are published in the Government's Annual Report on Strategic Export Controls. Copies of the 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 annual reports are available in the Libraries of the House. The 2001 Annual Report will be published as soon as possible.
Information on licence for particular sniper rifles is commercially confidential and is exempt from disclosure under the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information.
