§ Mr. BoatengThe Home Office spent a total of –8,769 on research into the prevention of domestic violence in the 12 months up to 31 October 2000. In the same period, a total of £856,463 was spent on research into the prevention of fire related deaths and injuries and £3,787,657 was spent on public awareness campaigns to prevent fires.
