§ Ms StuartI have met representatives of trades unions, staff and Community Health Councils informally during official visits outside London. I also met with members of the Manufacturing, Science and Finance Union on 4 November 1999 and the Association of Community Health Councils for England and Wales on 22 February 2000 in London.
Both organisations have a role to play in modernising the National Health Service and I will continue to meet with their representatives as appropriate.
