Mr. Jon Owen JonesIdentification and monitoring of abuse of older people in care and their protection are the responsibility of local and health authorities in Wales. Information is not held centrally on this. We have established a multi-agency working group, including senior police representatives, to make recommendations on the protection of all vulnerable adults including older people. The policy and practice guidance which will be the outcome of this work will be for the National Assembly to consider.
